The biennial congress of The Nutrition Society of SA and The Assoc for Dietetics in SA will focus on:
* Micronutrients, essential fatty acids and paediatric cognitive development.
* Functional foods.
* Psychology of food behaviour.
* Nutrition and ARV's in patient management.
* Allergenicity of complementary foods.
The organising committee says that the congress theme Get on board for nutrition is a call to action for all relevant sectors - government, research/academia, non-governmental organisations, industry, and communities - to explore ways to work together to improve the nutrition situation in SA.
Early registration closes on 18 June.
